NOWHERE MAN

So while Lennon & McCartney were indulging in their passion for hallucinogenic substances back in 1965, I wonder whilst tripping, did they end up in our election year of 2010? Because upon reading what I stumbled across earlier (click title for link), I'm sure they wrote this particular song just for CamHead.

He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?

Nowhere Man, don't worry,
Take your time, don't hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
lend you a hand.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Seriously I might have to indulge myself if this lot get elected, as they have absolutely no Policies whatsoever, none, nil, zilch, FUCK ALL!

  1. It's a nice idea. One of my main criticisms of this government is that you have a load of know nothing fucknuggets pretending they've got all the answers because Gordon has decided they're not a threat to his leadership (i.e. even more incompetent than him) and given them a department, who do not and will not listen to what front line and experienced staff are telling them. All they do is employ firms of consultants at huge expense to tell them what the staff would have told them for free in the first place, or to give them the answer they want to hear.

Would a Tory system like this deliver any sensible policies? Of course it would, and will until they employ a policy from here which doesn't work out and is U-turned, then the system will be forgotten, or until the first time a policy is recommended that is incompatible with their politics.

It's playing at listening to what the electorate want. In effect the big three parties are the same in their expectations: We WILL vote for them, and then will silently fall in line and with great humility do what the fuck we're told.

Until we persuade the political class that it is their job to reflect OUR wishes, not our job to fit in with THEIR idea of what society should be then nothing will change.
